Nish Kumar has shared that he want to play James Bond in an “elaborate prank”.
In a brand new interview with The Guardian, the comic mentioned that he thinks “it might be very cool” to be named as the enduring undercover agent.
When requested if he want to star in a Hollywood film, like his colleague James Acaster in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the stand-up comedian responded: “It will be very cool if I used to be named the subsequent James Bond, as a result of the collective meltdown it might encourage in a bit of the British press can be so profoundly hilarious that I virtually assume Barbara Broccoli ought to do it as a prank.”
Kumar added: “They’ve made sufficient cash from the franchise, why not make the subsequent casting of James Bond an elaborate prank?”
This follows latest rumoured developments within the casting of 007, after Daniel Craig stepped down from the function in 2021 with No Time To Die.
It was reported final month that Kick-Ass and Tenet star Aaron Taylor-Johnson had been provided the function by manufacturing studio EON Productions, who had been awaiting his response. Taylor-Johnson has neither confirmed nor denied the hearsay.
